WSDA rallies at MLA Bob D’Eith’s office April 3, 2018

The Wild Salmon Defenders Alliance held a rally at MLA Bob D’Eith’s office today, April 3, 2018, and will continue to visit as many MLAs as we can until they finally get the message that open net pen fish farms must be removed from the ocean. We are grateful for the great turnout of wild salmon supporters who attended the rally as well as the 67 vehicles who honked their horns in support of wild salmon!

Bob D’Eith invited us into his office where we hand delivered a letter outlining our concerns and Eddie urged the provincial government not to renew the licences to fish farms coming up for renewal on June 20. Bob carefully listened and stated it would be highly inappropriate for his government to renew those licences while they are having meetings with affected First Nations in the Broughton Archipelago. We agree!

We are now preparing an open letter to the Premier and planning to hold our next rally soon.
