The sun was shining, the eagles were flying, and we received a very warm reception at the Mission Superstore, on May 28th, 2017. As Eddie led us drumming and singing the sacred songs, we caught the attention of many people, hungry to learn more about our efforts to protect Wild Salmon. May Thai Champion, William Strong, told us he has been eating salmon for months in preparation for his next bought and was grateful to learn more about the health impacts of farmed salmon, saying from now on, he will “only eat wild!”. We were very happy to have GetiFest president Gerry Pinel, Raging Grannie Loraine Pinel, and Green party candidate Peter Tam join us, and are grateful for all the support we received from Superstore customers. Special thanks to Mission resident Rorrie for helping hand out our literature, and to all the Wild Salmon Defenders who continue to share their time to help educate the public.
