WSDA at National Aboriginal Day celebrations hosted by FRANAS – June 24 2017

The Wild Salmon Defenders Alliance had a fantastic time at the National Aboriginal day celebrations in Maple Ridge, hosted by the Fraser River All Nations Aboriginal Society (FRANAS).

Eddie spoke about the importance of salmon to all nations along the Fraser river, and our drummers and singers were delighted to have Colleen Pierre and her daughter Mavis of the Katzie First Nation join us on stage. We sang many songs in honour of wild salmon and the natural environment, and enjoyed the day’s festivities including the bannock contest-YUM! Many thanks to Joanne Foote and all the good people of FRANAS for inviting us to this wonderful event.
