WSDA rallies at Minister Lisa Beare’s office – Oct.13, 2017
The Wild Salmon Defenders Alliance held a rally at Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture Lisa Bear’s office on Oct 13/17, to support those occupying the fish farms. At the same time, rallies were held at the Premier’s office in Victoria, and the Environment and climate change Minister’s office in Vancouver.
The Minister was not available but that didn’t stop us from singing and drumming for wild salmon and delivering a copy of the Safe Passage petition to her office. Her executive staff have promised to set up a meeting with the Minister, WSDA and Chief Susan Miller ASAP to address the current crisis facing wild salmon. As far as WSDA is concerned, Minister Beare must act to prevent a cultural gennocide which would occur to First Nations all along the BC coast, should we loose the wild salmon.
