Education has been at the forefront of our activities. We have kept the communities apprised of the dangers of Farmed Fish and the continued efforts to rid the oceans of these atrocities. We have made it clear, the dangers of sushi, using farmed fish and advising the health hazards of eating farmed salmon, while also explaining the fraudulent advertising and marketing ploys being used. We have also educated the public about the ramifications of development and the loss of salmon habitat at the Wetlands in Langley, as well as keeping the toxic spill at Stoney Creek at the forefront of all effected parties.

 

We have done this by partaking in all correspondence relative to these issues and by attending Council Meetings at Langley to stand against their intended destruction. All these years, we have also remained in contact with and in solidarity with other Wild Salmon Defenders and have supported the causes in person when possible, or by social media support. I have also maintained the Wild Salmon Defenders facebook page, ensuring that shared content was relevant and aligned with our cause.
