WSDA was thrilled to participate in a fundraiser for Unist’ot’en land defenders, hosted by our friends from Kwantlen First Nation who opened up their cultural centre and provided a delicious dinner.
What a great evening! We had a great time drumming, singing, dancing and networking with local activists including the good folks of Pipe-up, who have launched a court challenge to Kinder Morgan’s pipeline. Eddie spoke of the importance of supporting indigenous rights and efforts to protect the environment. WSDA donated funds to Unist’ot’en to help them keep up their tremendous work. Many thanks to all who attended this fun and successful event!
